Gorgeous day at Mangerton Mill yesterday – the sun shone, the tea and cake were fabulous, the classic cars gleamed and the stationary engines whirred and put-putted away. Ahh..happy days!
I love this museum each time you find something new – I noticed that The Daily Echo in 1938 had rather less chavvy-news and looked much prettier – but still liked the odd disaster – in this case another sinking ship!
Mangerton Mill Vintage Weekend – Oct 9th &10th
Mangerton Mill has a vintage weekend on the 9th and 10th October – very lovely for a day out we think. This will be a nice small rally with some stationary steam engines and a few classic cars and motorbikes based at a working 17th century mill with the vintage bygones museum and a tea room.
Also expect to see vintage tractors and model boats on the lake (subject to availability!) The craft shops are open and there will be an accordion band and apple juice making demonstration. What an eclectic mix!
