Hello Bygones Vintage & Retro Bash

Hello Bygones was not your average vintage day out…

This recent day in Yeovil was much more rock and roll than most events and full of workshops and cool things to do like making fascinators, bunting, cupcakes, enjoying a vintage make-over with people like LeKeux & The Vintage Salon a retro lunch from Daisy’s Vintage Kitchen the Couple of Mugs tea van (plus loads of other vintage vehicles).

Entertainment throughout the day including a cinema screening A Hard Day’s Night with vintage popcorn and sweets plus stage performances of Rock ‘n’ Roll band “The Animal Urges” Lindy Hop, Rock ‘n’ Roll & Swing Dancers, Bexi Owen, Jazz, Blues & Swing Singers and fabulous Burlesque Troupe led by Dulcie Demure and Killer Heels Burlesque.

Plus there were LOADs of vintage stalls, hand-mades like Passionflower Creations, vintage clothing including from the Cherry Closet and Retro Rewind and nick-nacks! Breathe! But, in aid of Flying Colours at The Yeovil Woman’s Hospital it meant the day wasn’t purely about traders selling their stuff or making cash for the organisers – it also helped a good cause and was great fun!

1940’s Help for Heroes Day

The Aviation Museum in Bournemouth is having a 1940’s style Help for Heroes Day on 1st October between 10am and 4pm. The Aviation museum is located immediately next to Adventure Wonderland at Hurn opposite the airport. The day will be a great chance to get nostalgic helped along by the live WW2 music from the gorgeous harmony singers the Polka Dot Dolls and “voice in a million” nostalgic soprano Fiona Harrison.

This is such a great cause and the day will be fantastic. Vintage Dorset has sent over our original war years flags for the show – see if you can see the old union jacks!
