Tea-Tastic!

We love tea. We love a quick brew with a decent tea bag when needs must but what we REALLY love is taking the time to make a beautiful, special cup of tea with fabulous quality loose leaf blends, lovely filtered water and of course drinking it in gorgeous vintage china! There are so many different types of tea on the market ranging from the black, white and green through to the fruit and wonderfully named oolong but you really do need to go to a specialist shop for some of the very best and flavoursome teas to give yourself a real treat every now and then. The Gilded Teapot in Dorchester is one of those very special shops and the bubbly, very knowledgeable Jo certainly knows a thing or three about tea (and coffee!). Pop into the shop for a hand wrapped bag of tea and Jo will tell you all about your chosen blend, where it comes from, what’s in it and how to brew it! Here we’ve highlighted just a very few of the exceptional teas she sells – something a little out of the ordinary, not your normal run of the mill tea!

We do hasten to add that the comments on the flavours are entirely based on our own taste buds – different people will have different likes and dislikes so we recommend getting a few varieties, some tasting notes and have yourself a lovely tea tasting evening with some good friends and some good food – heaven!

A Present that’s Unique

If you are looking to give a gift that is different and individual then how about one of our “kit” trios.

China trio presents by Vintage Dorset

We supply you with a lovely vintage trio – cup, saucer and side plate, enough cellophane to wrap it, ribbons in the colour of your choice to make a bow, instructions to make the bow and a little vintage style luggage tag to write your sentiments. All you need to provide is the gift to go in the cup! There are so many things you may wish to give (check out some of our ideas below) and you may never find that special something already wrapped and ready to go but by using our kit you can make your gift totally unique – whether it’s for Easter, for a birthday, for an anniversary, baby shower, hen party, mother of the bride/groom favour, in fact for any celebration or special event! If you would like to buy a kit please email us on info@vintagedorset.co.uk for more details.
