Sweetie-styled weddings

Bennett’s Water Gardens in Weymouth had a gorgeous wedding fair this weekend and Vintage Dorset went along to join our friend Celia with her amazing Old Fashioned Sweetie Cart.

Celia hires out her cart complete with vintage sweetie jars and pic-n-mix for weddings and other fun events. She can colour co-ordinate the canopy and offer the Cart with or without the sweets if you want to use it for wedding favors, flowers, cakes or whatever you fancy! Of course her scrumptious pic-n-mix and pretty old fashioned sweetie cart was a great attraction on its own, but we weren’t just there for the candy… really….

The water gardens are a really lovely venue for parties and weddings or a lovely afternoon and I had a light lunch overlooking the prettiest of lily ponds. Inside, there were beautiful wedding dresses as the wedding fashion shows from Dorchester’s  Wedding Time began (fab dresses by Ian Stuart)and it was great to see all the flower arrangements, cakes and jewelry and of course to hear how very interested people are in vintage weddings!

Celia is going to dress-out the Sweetie Cart in Cath Kidston type and vintage fabrics so it will be perfect for vintage weddings and events to accompany our own vintage china and cupcakes. To get a flavour of the event (and ideas) see our photos here:
