A Vintage Christmas – pictures from A Christmas Carol

On Saturday the Corn Exchange in Dorchester hosted a fabulous performance of A Christmas Carol by amateur theatre group Dorchester Drama. A spot of vintage theatre is exactly the ticket to get into the Christmas spirit.

Steve Atkins‘ fabulous photographs give a flavour of the drama (do contact him if you want a picture) but you had to be there to get the full affect of this traditional victorian epic – it was stupendous! Well done Dorchester Drama!

This adaptation of Charles Dickens’ famous Christmas novel was directed by Anne Reeve with Trevor Williams taking the lead role as Scrooge supported by Vince Jones as Bob Cratchitt and Jack Dunne as Tiny Tim. The whole cast were fantastic and I especially loved the Chorus and the children – very evocative!
